As a Commercial Lender, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of commercial loan accounts.

Responsibilities:
Meet personally with clients in a timely manner to determine credit quality and review commercial lending viability.
Serve as a liaison between the client and the bank by applying thorough knowledge of commercial loan operations, credit fundamentals, and bank products in an effort to further develop relationships and opportunities with current clients.
Maintain proficiency of and work within the operational guidelines of various committees, organizations, and governmental lending programs (including, but not limited to, SBA, USDA, NDS) to aid in securing loan funding.
Work collaboratively with the Collections Specialist in developing recommendations based on loan performance; develop adjustment plans to ensure continual efficiency in lending activity and the repayment of loans.
Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies and procedures related to Privacy, Bank Protection, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Code of Conduct, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Provide continual training to department members on changes to policies, procedures, and applicable banking regulations as needed.
Participate in webinars and other training exercises as deemed necessary by management to stay apprised of any changes in policies and procedures.
Act as a liaison to provide interdepartmental support for various lending functions; maintain complete and accurate documentation of all communication between all areas of contact to ensure integrity of sensitive materials.
Work cohesively with other departments in the bank to maximize cross-departmental efficiency of bank operations.
Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound and prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Attend meetings and serve on various committees within the bank network to ensure integrated functionality and communication of the Commercial Lending Department is appropriately represented.
Offer expertise, aid in system testing and implementations as needed.
Complete online compliance training through Regulatory University, as assigned, within the identified time frame.
Proactively work to improve operational knowledge of, functionality within, and responsibilities related to the position.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications:
establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, adhering to deadlines, and presenting self in a professional and pleasant demeanor.
Represent the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field 3
years of experience in a commercial lending environment preferred OR 3
years in a similar role such as credit analyst.
Knowledge of banking rules and regulations preferred.
Must work collaboratively with other departments and individuals.
Must be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be a self-starter; ability to work independently and with little supervision.
Must be able to demonstrate professional etiquette at all times.
Uphold the highest standards of ethical conduct in all activities, confidentiality, reputation (both professional and personal), and integrity when dealing with the bank's assets.
Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
Must show a strong personality of dealing with difficult situations.
Demonstrate strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make sound and prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment.
