We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Veterinary Surgical Assistant to join our team.

As a Veterinary Surgical Assistant o, you will play a crucial role in assisting our veterinary surgeons and technicians during surgical procedures.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment while providing compassionate care to our patients.

Key
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of surgical suites, instruments, and equipment.
Provide support during surgical procedures, including monitoring anesthesia, handing instruments to the surgeon, and maintaining a sterile environment.
Prepare and position patients for surgery, including shaving and cleaning.
Monitor post-surgical patients and assist with recovery.
Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinary team.
Ensure the surgical area and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained.
Educate clients on post-operative care and provide clear instructions.
Collaborate with the veterinary team to provide the best possible care for our patients.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; formal veterinary assistant training is a plus.
Prior experience as a surgical assistant in a veterinary setting is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of surgical procedures, including aseptic techniques.
Compassion for animals and the ability to handle them with care and sensitivity.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes emotionally charged environment.
