POSITION SUMMARY As a Teller, you're responsible for the efficient handling of customer transactions; including deposits, withdrawals, payments, and inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
You'll work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced, professional environment.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Provide impeccable customer service to clients of the Bank, inclusive of greeting customers, processing deposits, withdrawals, payments, sell Cashier Checks, Money Orders, and assist customer telephone inquiries.
Maintain thorough knowledge of all teller responsibilities, inclusive of Branch Capture, daily ATM balancing and maintenance, night deposits, mail, and courier deposits.
Provide accurate cash handling services to customers to ensure a balanced drawer at the close of business.
Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of corporate policies and procedures related to Privacy, Bank Protection, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), Code of Conduct, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
Assures compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
Attend meetings and serve on various committees within the bank network to ensure integrated functionality and communication.
Participate in webinars and other training exercises as deemed necessary by management to stay apprised of any changes in policies and procedures.
Complete online compliance training through Regulatory University, as assigned, within the identified time frame.
Proactively work to improve operational knowledge of, functionality within, and responsibilities related to the position.
Work cohesively with other departments in the bank to maximize cross-departmental efficiency of bank operations.
Multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, adhering to deadlines, and presenting self in a professional and pleasant demeanor.
Represent the company in various civic and community functions to further enhance its image and develop additional business.
Demonstrate thorough understanding and daily implementation of the bank-wide security procedure to ensure the safety, security, and soundness of all employees and guests.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of banking rules and regulations preferred.
Customer service experience preferred.
Cash handling experience preferred.
Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational skills.
Must be able to demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be a self-starter; ability to work independently and with little supervision.
Must be able to demonstrate professional etiquette at all times.
Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
Must show a strong personality of dealing with difficult situations.
Must be proficient in basic computer skills.
Must have the ability to sit, bend, stoop and kneel.
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
